Lumineers fall perfectly into this bracket and can restore the sheen to your smile. They are an extremely thin patented-porcelain veneer that cover the surface of the tooth and hide things in a hurry. Preparation involves taking a mould of your teeth and then waiting until the lumineers have been made. Now in most cases this could take a while, but combine the lumineer with CEREC and you could be in and out in an hour because they can be made on the spot. And then, they are simply glued onto the surface of your teeth and away you go. Although they have a throw away quality to them as they have a short life span in the scheme of all cosmetic things dental-wise, but they are quite robust when fitted and the treatment can be reversed- unlike porcelain veneers.

Take this forward another level and you come to the Lumineer, a very thin veneer made, again from a fine, patented porcelain. This is not as durable but then it’s not designed to be, it’s designed as something for a quick fix and then thrown away or replaced. The clue there is you can reverse this technique, unlike before, because in the preparation of the fitting, the tooth’s enamel is left on and the Lumineer simply stuck over the surface. It’s not cheap to get one and costs can vary wildly, but pop to the dentists in Sunbury and ask about the treatment, because it does give your mouth back its youth quite sensationally.

Modern dentistry offers numerous solutions not only to ailments such as tooth decay and gum disease, but also gives patients the chance to look their best by harnessing the skills of dentists who administer cosmetic dentistry procedures. Cosmetic dentistry is concerned with making patients look terrific by having a perfect smile. One increasingly popular cosmetic dentistry procedure is having Lumineers fitted. Read on to find out more.

Lumineers are a type of porcelain dental veneer, designed especially to cover up unsightly looking teeth and improve the look of your mouth. They are ideal in cases where patients have chipped, cracked or even heavily stained teeth. By fitting a thin layer of cerinate porcelain over the front of the tooth it will look a whole lot better but discreetly so.

Many other types of veneer require the dentist to remove a little of the existing tooth so that it can be accommodated successfully in the mouth. Lumineers almost never require this and it explains why they are sometime popularly known as ‘contact lenses for all your teeth’; they are that thin. Lumineers will not stain either so that if you have covered up a stained tooth you need not worry about the thing that is covering it becoming stained too.

Ask your Kingston-Upon-Thames dentist if they can carry out the Lumineer treatment to cover up your undesirable looking teeth. The procedure is quick and simple thanks to digital technology in the surgery and you will be able to walk away with a perfect looking smile. Once in place, Lumineers are so durable that you will be able to treat them just like you would the rest of the teeth and, apart from how great your smile looks, you will forget that you even have Lumineers in your mouth!

From laser treatments to veneers, we are spoilt for choice. But on the subject of veneers, they have proved their versatility and durability over the years that have made them a very popular choice. But now there are a new generation of hybrids coming onto the market that are softer on the teeth and designed simply as a quick smile makeover. Lumineers are just so, and they are the epitome of how slick cosmetic dentistry has become. Traditional veneers, for all their advantages, involve the removal of the tooth’s enamel before being attached. With lumineers, they are simply ‘glued’ over the surface of the existing tooth, rather like fake nails on a finger, which if you think of them like that, makes them a fashionable ‘must have’ for the person on the move. Wafer thin and less durable than a porcelain veneer (they are good for 5 years with care), they do give a million dollar look to the mouth and they cover a multiple of sins, just like a veneer. Tooth preparation is minimal and if you combine them with CEREC treatment, you can have a new look in less than two hours, and like fake nails, the treatment is reversible.

For a start, veneers are versatile and easy to fit, covering up all manner of problems such as gaps and chips. They reinstate the length of the original tooth; this may have been lost to general wear and tear over time, and restore the confidence to your smile you thought you had lost. However, having a standard veneer involves the removal of the enamel on the tooth. But now in Weybridge, you can have a patented, Lumineer fitted instead. These are wafer thin- a third of the thickness of a normal porcelain veneer but extremely strong and once you’ve been measured up, your teeth prepared and the Lumineer made up in a lab (it takes about 2 weeks, an hour if you choose CEREC treatment), they are simply cemented over the original tooth without any enamel loss. The finish and look that it gives to the mouth is remarkable and if they are well looked after and treated with respect, they should last you up to six years. The ‘thing’ with a Lumineer is, if you don’t get on with them, the treatment is reversible- they can be taken off and the tooth restored to how it was before. They are worth popping into your dentists for a look.

Giving your smile a makeover, like your hair and skin, is now possible with incredible Lumineer veneers. Teeth inevitably become duller over time and lose the sparkle which they have in your youth. Making sure your smile is perfect is hugely important to feeling confident in social situations and Lumineer veneers can help you with this.

There are all sorts of causes for staining and dullness affecting teeth. Drinking coffee, tea or red wine can stain teeth, as can smoking tobacco. Just getting older causes teeth to become dull too through wear and tear and sometimes having poor health generally can leave teeth more open to staining. Having veneers over them represents an option to restore the shine of your smile.

Lumineer veneers are often referred to as contact lenses for teeth because they are so thin and, as such, require hardly any preparation of the teeth at all. In order to fit traditional veneers, sometimes a substantial portion of your existing tooth needs to be removed. This, of course, can be invasive and means that the process is not reversible. Lumineers are different in this regard because they are thin enough to fit over the natural shape of eth vast majority of teeth. This thinness does not mean that there is any compromise with durability. Made from special cerinate porcelain, Lumineer veneers should last in excess of twenty years.

Even if you have existing bridge or crown work, Lumineer veneers can fit over them too. They are ideal for concealing dull or stained teeth and teeth which are crooked. Check to see if your London W1 dentist is registered with Lumineer. If they are then the veneers which are only available from Lumineer’s dedicated laboratories in the United States of America can be fitted.

Lumineer’s are just what the doctor ordered or should that be the dentist! A Kingston- upon-Thames dentist has been advising their clients about the advantages of having these new veneers fitted. They are made from a new formula that is so hard wearing and tough, it is possible to make them in a very thin format. Most of the problems associated with veneers have been overcome by this fabulous innovation from the world of dental science. With normal veneers the tooth has to lose some of its enamel so the veneer blends in on the tooth to look natural, this process is irreversible and that means that the tooth can only ever have more veneers in the future. Veneers do get discoloured, that’s a fact and they have to be replaced around about every 10-15 years. With the Lumineer it is so thin that the tooth loses no enamel at all, and the Lumineer can be taken off at any time for work to be done on the tooth. It is a tough cookie with a lifespan expectancy of some 20 years; they are fitted on without an anaesthetic and in about 20 minutes or so. The cost has also come down as they are cheaper to make and not so much work goes into fitting them, they need no special care either, you just simply use them and clean them like a real tooth, and your 6 monthly visits to the dentist will make sure that they stay in pristine condition.

There have been many innovations that have changed the face of modern dentistry. One of the latest is Lumineer veneers, a form of porcelain tooth cap so thin it requires barely any pre-treatment and no enamel removal before they can be fixed onto your teeth. As well as completely changing the appearance of the teeth, they also add an extra layer of protection to the teeth to protect them form damage and further discolouration.

Dental veneers have been used for decades to improve the appearance of the teeth and smile. They are mostly used to restore the size and shape of damaged teeth and to cover teeth that have been badly stained or discoloured. These are problems that affect millions of people each year in the UK. This means that although they are quite expensive, veneers are a very popular way of restoring your teeth to their former glory. As well as being very effective, veneers are also very hard wearing and last for many years if properly cared for.

Using the old-style veneers, it was often required that dentist removed some of the healthy tooth enamel to allow the veneer to fit comfortably over the top of the existing tooth. This was never an ideal situation as dentists often hated to remove healthy enamel unless absolutely necessary. Now, using Lumineers, the dentist can simply attach the new veneer using a thin layer of dental bonding. The tooth structure remains intact and the tooth is restored and protected. Lumineers are so thin, about the same width as a contact lens that they can even fit over the top of existing dental work.

Lumineers from a Sunbury dentist could be just the answer to all your dental health needs. Ask your dentist at your next check up to see what they could do for you.

The method of making it and fitting it is much the same, but it is much quicker to make and everyone is still custom made just for you. You need to have a consultation to see if you qualify for a Lumineer, but don`t worry not many are refused them. The dentist takes digital photos and digital X-rays of the tooth that is going to take the veneer. This information is scanned into a computer and an image is created of the finished product. A dental technician then makes the Lumineer and sends it to the dentist, as it is so thin it usually only needs a light scrape of the tooth to make a good adhesion. The tooth and smile make over is quickly finished, and you can be out the door in around 15-20 minutes. The Lumineer can be used just like the tooth it is covering, it is cleaned by brushing, flossing and mouth washes. Tests have given an indication that these veneers will last up to 20 years if taken care of properly. The cost is a lot less than conventional veneers as the work involved is more than halved, it fixes all the usual problems from discolouration, cracks, chips and misaligned teeth. See your dentist first though to see if you qualify for one, they are a perfect solution to an age old problem of ugly teeth, and the effect is instant.

Dental veneers allow you to cover teeth that are affected by discolouration and staining. They can also be used to restore the shape of worn or unevenly spaced teeth. Lumineers are a relatively new form of ultra-thin veneer manufactured by Cerinate that can perform all of these dental restorations without causing any further damage to your teeth.

The difference between Lumineers and regular veneers is that they are made form a special patented form of porcelain that is incredibly strong. This means they can be much thinner than normal veneers while maintaining their strength and protective qualities. Lumineer veneers are about the same width as a contact lens, which means that minimal preparation is needed for the teeth. This has always been one of the major drawbacks of veneers that enamel had to be removed from healthy teeth in order to accommodate the new veneers. Lumineers fit easily over teeth without the need to remove enamel and are so thin they can even fit over existing dental work. This means that the process is reversible, although it is unlikely you will ever want to return to your old teeth when you have seen the effects of Lumineers.

Lumineers veneers are all manufactured in the Cerinate laboratory in the US according to specifications form your Kingston-upon-Thames dentist. However, you will only require two appointments to design and fit the Lumineer veneers. There really is no need to suffer with the embarrassment of stained or uneven teeth. Lumineer veneers can restore the appearance of your beautiful smile and can last for up to twenty years if properly cared for. Ask your dentist for more information about Lumineer veneers.
